NAPIT provide free technical advice on the updates to BS 7671:2018 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations to aspiring electricians.

NAPIT’s Technical Development Engineer, Richard Townsend, recently presented a technical seminar to students and apprentices at REBUS Training Ltd in Stoke on Trent. Students were given a detailed overview of the recent changes that have been made to the Wiring Regulations as well as the opportunity to take part in an interactive session on how to accurately code observations found during EICRs.

A prize bundle worth £150 was also donated by NAPIT to the REBUS Training Ltd Apprentice Awards, which took place on Tuesday 2nd October, to further support the recognition and development of apprentices.

NAPIT work with many colleges across the UK and are passionate about providing guidance and support to future electricians. They also provide ongoing support through their student membership scheme, which offers apprentices and students free NAPIT membership. This enables them to access free advice from the NAPIT technical helpline and discounted rates on training, products and other NAPIT services.

NAPIT’s Group Chief Executive, Mike Andrews, said “We are delighted to be able to assist apprentices by offering exclusive NAPIT benefits for them to use alongside their learning, helping them upskill and evolve into competent and qualified electricians. Our aim is to raise standards within the industry, so it’s important to ensure that aspiring electricians are aware of best practise within the industry from the beginning of their career and are subsequently trained and assessed to meet them.”

NAPIT’s wealth of experience paired with their reputation within the industry makes them well placed to provide help and guidance for individuals who endeavour to become qualified to work in the building services and fabric sector.
