Connect 2 Cleanrooms, a manufacturer of bespoke modular and off-site constructed cleanrooms, has been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors.  SafeContractor helps to reduce risk for Connect 2 Cleanrooms, ensuring that contractors have suitable and efficient health and safety processes.

Achieving the SafeContractor accreditation ensures a uniform standard across the entire business and highlights Connect 2 Cleanrooms commitment to health and safety on site.  The accreditation will enhance their ability to win new cleanroom contracts.

Gemma Archibald, director of Alcumus SafeContractor, said: “More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Connect 2 Cleanrooms has done.  The company’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.  SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”

Lynda Cooper, quality manager at Connect 2 Cleanrooms, said: “The accreditation provides reassurance to our customers that the work carried out on site is being handled correctly and sufficiently in-line with health and safety policies, procedures and documentation.”
