Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Workwear specialist, Supertouch, has expanded its Pawā range of cut-resistant gloves with the introduction of four new models.

The PG310, PG515, PG535, and PG542 combine varying degrees of cut protection with distinct benefits such as dexterity, touchscreen technology and oil resistance. The new range builds upon the already extensive array of hand protection offered by Pawā’s portfolio, to directly address the diverse needs of the workforce across both the UK and Ireland.

Ideally, hand protection should be designed to protect against several hazards at once, in order to minimise risk by reducing the need to change gloves throughout the day, or to wear multiple gloves at the same time. It also improves safety through reducing the risk of not changing gloves, thus not having the correct level of protection for the new task.

From a financial perspective, too, it has major advantages as it improves productivity owing to better suited handwear, and decreasing any time spent changing gloves. Equally, by protecting against multiple threats at the same time, it reduces the number of gloves that need to be procured in the first place, thus representing better value for money.

Matt Rushton, Head of Marketing at Supertouch, comments: “The most important aspect to PPE is in the name – it is there to protect wearers and mitigate risk. But alongside the many safety features that are specifically designed to tackle various hazards, we wanted to make sure that operators feel comfortable wearing hand protection.

“The Pawā range is underpinned by a commitment to comfort, protection, and performance, seeking to provide peace of mind by offering protection across a range of applications.”

The new Pawā PG310 offers level C cut resistance, touchscreen capability, and excellent grip in multiple conditions. Backed up by high comfort, it makes it suitable for a number of industries including automotive, construction, engineering, and metal fabrication. The PG515, meanwhile, provides level E cut and an oil resistant palm, ideal for greasy applications.

The ultra-thin level D cut PG535 is a highly dexterous option, thanks to its 18-gauge liner and PU coating. Featuring a nitrile thumb crotch for added durability, the PG535 is ideal for assembly tasks in manufacturing and even features touchscreen capability for use on modern production lines.

Finally, the PG542 offers all-round protection owing to its water, cold, and heat resistance. Combined with E level cut resistance, it highlights the superior practicality of multi-norm technology.

Matt concludes: “Hand protection plays a vital role in safeguarding employees and minimising the risk within their day-to-day jobs. The Pawā range ensures there is an option for all applications, and our gloves have been designed based on direct feedback from industry. These latest additions provide a range of distinct benefits alongside varying degrees of cut resistance, which makes the accurate specification of PPE that much easier.”
