Mouser Electronics is now stocking the RSio Remote Safe I/O Block from Banner Engineering. The RSio Remote Safe I/O supports CIP Safety systems with In-Series Diagnostics (ISD) and six independently configurable hybrid I/O ports. The RSio series is an ideal solution for safety-rated and standard devices in industrial automation machine safety applications, including palletisers, conveyors, and many other types of machinery.
The Banner Engineering RSio Remote Safe I/O, now at Mouser, includes six inputs each supporting up to 32 ISD-enabled devices and up to 192 devices per RSio block. This architecture enables device-level diagnostics for faster troubleshooting while minimising wiring and expanding PLe/SIL3 safety coverage. The RSio Remote Safe I/O Block features two configurable outputs that provide single- or dual-channel control for final switching, safety-rated, or non-safety devices.
The RSio Remote Safe I/O Block is easily configured in Rockwell Automation’s Studio 5000, enabling integration with CIP Safety systems without additional software. Mini power (up to 10A pass-through) or M12 L-Code power (up to 16A pass-through) models are available, with the same M12 A-Code I/O ports and core functionality on both models. RSio users can independently enable or disable test pulses on inputs and outputs to match device and application requirements. The product includes an IP67-rated, machine-mountable housing that reduces wiring and cabinet size.
