Leading legionella authority, Hydrosense once again made a big impact at this year’s AquaTech exhibition where it showcased its latest rapid Legionella testing innovations available to the water and water management industries.
Having taken place from the 11th-14th March at the RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam, AquaTech is the largest trade exhibition for the global water technology industry. This year, the coveted event, which was established in 1968, saw over 800 exhibitors and 20,000 professionals across every corner of the water industry come together to discuss latest innovations, share best practice and network.
Hydrosense had an expert team out in full force throughout, promoting its breakthrough Hydrosense PRO rapid Legionella testing range. As part of this, the team provided on-stand demonstrations during the four days, enabling visitors to see firsthand the speed and simplicity of its cutting-edge testing technology.
Developed to overcome the limitations of traditional Legionella detection, Hydrosense PRO is the world’s fastest test to detect Legionella pneumophila serogroups 1-15. Independently validated, the test kits can be used to test water samples and biofilms, delivering 100% accurate results within just 25 minutes – all on-site, with no training or laboratory processing required.
Ideal for high-risk areas such as such as hotels, hospitals, care homes, cooling towers, spa pools, shipping, and domestic water systems, the result is the ability to access real-time knowledge about the presence of Legionella pneumophila, enabling duty holders to take immediate remedial action and reduce exposure and risk.
Commenting on the exhibition, Hydrosense CEO Greg Rankin, said: “We were excited to return to the exhibition as a pioneer in rapid Legionella testing technology, bringing solutions and benefits to process, wastewater treatment and every other corner of the water sector.”
He adds: “The reality is that the pace and scale of Legionella outbreaks are increasing worldwide. We must act with greater urgency, depth, and agility to effectively respond to this growing threat. By going beyond traditional lab methods, which take up to two weeks to provide results and ignore some forms of Legionella bacteria, to incorporate faster testing regimes that deliver real-time, actionable results we have a real opportunity to reduce exposure and protect lives.
“It was great to meet so many attendees at the event, where our expert team were able to offer informed advice as to the evolving Legionella landscape and how our testing solutions can support water management best practices.”
