Aberdeen-based Chorus Training is helping clients across the utilities, energy and infrastructure sectors tackle training system challenges with a comprehensive, AI-enabled platform built specifically for industries with complex safety requirements. The solution streamlines the delivery of safety-critical training, ensures regulatory compliance and tracks employee competence, supporting both day-to-day operational safety and long-term workforce skills planning.
Training systems in industries where safety is critical are struggling. As the energy transition accelerates, outdated and complicated processes leave workforces underprepared and businesses exposed to risk.
Many companies still rely on fragmented software, manual spreadsheets and outdated competency profiling that fails to reflect evolving skills needs. Training is often inefficient, generic and time-consuming, pulling workers from their roles without delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes.
With a changing energy future, unclear regulatory frameworks and growing skills shortages, the competency gap is increasing. There has never been a more urgent need for agile, integrated and scalable training solutions.
With industry-specific on-demand content and cost-effective delivery, Chorus Training is replacing fragmented systems with a simple unified solution – reducing workplace risk, saving time, enhancing performance and supporting the energy transition. Training content is developed in collaboration with industry partners ensuring that learning outcomes meet employers’ needs and regulatory commitments.
Iain Taylor, Co-founder of Chorus Training said: “We recognised that poor digital solutions were being further exposed by challenges of the energy transition, and we wanted to solve that problem. Ufi and Haatch are ideal partners for Chorus. Ufi are adding value immediately with their expertise in adult education, and Haatch with their strong track record in developing SaaS businesses, helping us scale at pace. The investment will enhance our software and content solutions, directly helping our customers and their workers cope with the challenges they have in their day-to-day operations, whilst supporting them to plan for an uncertain future.”
The new £650k investment from Ufi Ventures and Haatch will allow Chorus Training to expand its learning content to supplement their software platform and grow their client base over the next 18 months.
