To ensure compliance with ATEX Zone 2 requirements, rotary vane compressor manufacturer, Mattei, has launched a new range of gas boost compressors.
The new range is primarily designed for compressing methane gas in sweet, sour and bio gas forms. Covering a range from 4kW to 55kW, and featuring 7bar standard and with 10bar and 13bar options, the new range is well suited to arduous working environments.
To meet the demands of the sector, the gas ends are all available with a modulating control from zero to maximum output, a choice of flanged or threaded intake connections and integrated or remote coolers to provide maximum flexibility for different applications and drive methods. In addition, triple thermistor temperature protection ensures 100% safe operation and the lubricant has also been designed with the gas sector in mind.
The gas ends are available as stand alone compression units for integration into OEM gas compression packages, or as bespoke packages fully designed and assembled by Mattei.
