Assystem, the world’s third largest nuclear engineering firm is today launching the 15th anniversary edition of the 2025 Safety & Risk Forum, the annual gathering of safety and risk practitioners in the UK nuclear industry.
The CPD accredited event, will take place on the 18-19th September 2025, at the Kimpton Hotel, Manchester. The event will bring together expert insights from leaders and technical specialists from across the civil nuclear and defence sectors and will feature keynote presentations from Microsoft’s UK Energy & Utilities Director, Sam Mathew and Andy Newell, Deputy Director, Ministry of Defence (MOD).
With the growing global demand for digital infrastructure impacting the need for reliable, scalable energy sources and shaping new policy outcomes in the UK and internationally, the event programme will explore, ‘How policy and technology transformations are shaping nuclear safety and risk services in the 21st century’.

Safety & Risk Forum Awards
A new element to the 2025 event is the launch of the Safety & Risk Forum Awards on the night of the 18th September, which will celebrate existing and emerging industry leaders who have contributed to nuclear industry excellence in unique ways.
The awards are free to enter, here and submissions are open until Friday 4th July 2025 at 11 pm. Nominees can enter themselves or someone else in the industry.
