The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is pleased to announce that its 2023 Health and Safety Awards scheme is now open.

With entries from thousands of organisations from more than 50 countries, and a combined total of over 7 million employees, RoSPA’s Health and Safety Awards celebrate the best of the best where safety is concerned.

The RoSPA Awards offer a highly visible way of demonstrating a commitment to improving standards of workplace health and safety. Benefits include motivating and recognising in-house health and safety teams, gaining positive external recognition, and providing a benchmark for continuous improvement.

New for this year is the introduction of a Fall Prevention Trophy, which invites entrants to evidence the innovative and effective approaches they have implemented to prevent fall-related injuries in the workplace, which cost employers £500m per year.

A shared desire to drive safety excellence, sees the business information services company Croner-i as the awards’ headline sponsor.

Darren Chadwick, CEO for Croner-I, said: “As an organisation that delivers expert information to health and safety professionals, we’re proud to demonstrate our commitment to RoSPA’s life-saving mission, by supporting their ground-breaking award scheme”

Errol Taylor, Chief Executive of RoSPA said: “With new categories, and more opportunities to celebrate, the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2023 are now even bigger and better – and entries are open…. now!”
